When the founders started off operations as Surya Tours and Travels from Pune with 2 buses in 1992, they soon realized that this transportation business between cities was seasonal and they needed to diversify into the Corporate sector. With this entry into Corporate sector, it also renamed itself as TRAVELTIME Car Rentals in 1999.

TRAVELTIME got its first major contract with a major IT company in 2004, this contract soon opened news vistas for it with other technology giants and Fortune 500 companies present in and around Pune. This also meant that TRAVELTIME was exposed to international systems and processes related to staff transportation. Quick on adopting the technology, it soon got into managing staff transportation solutions for these companies.

In 2013, TRAVELTIME already a name known for safety and reliability, acquired the contract of PMPL (Pune Metropolitan Transport Corporation) which involved running of 154 Buses.

TRAVELTIME from an experience of over 2 decades, assisted in route planning (which includes routes and stops), commuter traffic on the routes and the utilization of the service.
TRAVELTIME also implementated 'ITMS' (Intelligent Traffic Management System) towards achiving these objectives.

We are not only managing the buses, we are also managing the depot, maintenance, fuel and the training of the drivers for these buses.

Recognizing the need for not only an efficient and reliable transport solution but also one wherein the environmental impact in terms of emissions norms for diesel buses, TRAVELTIME decided to play a role in the green initiative, by running ethanol-fuel buses.

As of 2022 , we are operational in 9 ciites
