Milestones

TRAVELTIME success story is one of its kind which has all the elements that requires a story to become a best seller.

  • 1992 - TRAVELTIME commences operations as Surya Tours and Travels with only 2 buses, which plied between Pune-Nagpur and Pune-Latur routes.
  • 1999 - Surya Tours and Travels was rebranded as TRAVELTIME Car Rentals.
  • 2004 - The first breakthrough came with acquiring a contract from Infosys (BPO Devision). Commencing with 4 cabs and 2 buses for the transportation of its staff on an 'on-call' and 'monthly' basis. It resulted in transforming the way we were doing business and also gave us a new identity as operators in staff transport. This rapidly expanded to TRAVELTIME taking over the entire staffing transport solution and deploying 150 cabs and 50 buses.

This staff transport solution was managed through the vendor-based module with TRAVELTIME leveraging its experience in transportation and technology with Infosys.

Cognizant. Operations started off with 1 Tempo and a few Indicas (cabs) for transportation of employees, which has now gone up to 180 cabs, transporting 3000 employees daily.

TRAVELTIME Car Rentals became synonymous with safe and reliable transport and is incorporated as a Private Limited Company.

SunGard Technologies was the third major contract won by TRAVELTIME. Starting off with a few Indicas, TRAVELTIME Car Rentals is now managing their entire staff transportation across all branches in Pune.

Credit Suisse, the next grand success of TRAVELTIME proved to be the fastest growing module both vertically and horizontally. TRAVELTIME could match the growth pace only because of its sustainability. At this point TRAVELTIME introduced the assurance scheme for its vendors and the response to that scheme was mind-blowing. With this new module i.e., partnering with its vendors the reliability and security of staff transport by TRAVELTIME increased by many folds. Since the vendors became partners they took the responsibility personally and the result was that the 'in-time' adherence in Credit Suisse from day one is 98-99% each day.

TRAVELTIME has earned accolades from the corporate world for its safety and reliability in transport solutions on multiple occasions. With time, TRAVELTIME acquired contracts from other major companies like Allscripts Ltd., Vodafone and Eclerx. Gradually all the major companies started their association with TRAVELTIME like, Wipro, Tcl, TCS, Volkswagon, Demag and the list continues.
